黄淮学院学校现有教职工1100多人。其中教授、副教授230多人，博士、硕士520多人，省管专家、省级骨干教师等专业技术拔尖人才40多人。从英国、美国、澳大利亚、加拿大等国聘请多名外籍教师长期在校任教，还从国内外著名大学和科研院所聘请60多名专家、学者担任兼职教授。学校鼓励和支持教师开展科学研究，以科研促进教学。近3年来，共出版学术著作270余部，发表学术论文3000余篇，完成省部级以上科研项目100多项，获市厅级以上科研奖励500多项。学校主办的《天中学刊》被评为“全国优秀学报”“首届全国百强社科学报”“中国人文社科学报核心期刊”。
学校以学科建设为龙头，着力加强内涵建设，升本后短短5年时间就实现了国家级特色专业、省级重点学科、省级特色专业、省级教学团队、省级精品课程、省级实验教学示范中心、国家级自然科学基金项目零的突破，学校还被批准为河南省“动画设计”方向的文化改革发展人才培养基地，并以重点学科和质量工程项目建设为载体，在强化师资队伍建设、推动教学改革、提升教学质量方面取得了显著成绩。
学校在培养模式上体现以人为本，建立通识教育平台，加强学科交融，坚持以第二课堂实践教学为载体，以校内实践创新中心、大学生活动中心和校外实习实训基地为平台，突出实践能力的培养和学生个性的发展。“大学生骨干基层挂职锻炼团”等5个团队被命名为国家级优秀服务团队，学校连续多年被评为“河南省大学生社会实践活动先进单位”。与苏州科技园等大中型企业集团广泛合作，建立了带薪实习、实训与就业对接的人才培养模式，为学生就业搭建了便利的平台，学校连年被评为“河南省大学毕业生就业工作先进集体”。

University Overview
Huanghuai University is a full-time, multi-disciplinary undergraduate public university, approved by the Ministry of Education, and organized by the Henan Peoples Government. HHU has 38 years school history. HHU has successively been awarded ‘civilized unit’ and ‘ethic advanced unit’ in provincial level. In 2009, in the evaluation of responsibility system for improving the Partys work style and building clean government, HHU is on the top list of all the universities in Henan province.
The campus covers an area of 143 hectares with excellent modern teaching and living facilities. The digital campus demonstration project creates a convenient digital network platform for teaching, research, management, as well as enhancing teachers’ and students’ everyday lives.HHU has 17 departments (schools), 42 undergraduate majors and directions, 16,000 full-time students and 12,000 adult education students. It has an open and international development approach which takes general undergraduate education as the mainstream, simultaneously with the specialist education, and has both general and foreign cooperation.
The faculty in HHU is more than 1100, including more than 230 professor and associate professor, more than 520 people with doctor or master’s degree, and more than 40 experts, back-bone teachers in provincial level. HHU also employed many long-term foreign teachers to teach from Britain, America, Australia, Canada and other countries and invited more than 60 famous experts, scholars as adjunct professor from famous universities and scientific research institutes at home and abroad. HHU encourages and supports teachers to carry out scientific research and improve teaching by research.During the last 3 years, a total of 270 major academic works have been published in journal. Also more than 3,000 academic journal articles published, more than 100 provincial research projects completed, and more than 500 research awards have been given. University-sponsored ‘Tianzhong Journal’ was named ‘National Outstanding Science Journal’, and is on the ‘Top 100 National Social Science Journal’ listing.
In the 5 years after it was promoted to an undergraduate university, HHU focused on subject and quality construction and achieved a breakthrough in the following projects: projects with national characteristic, provincial key disciplines, provincial projects with special features, provincal teaching teams, provincal excellent subjects, provincial experimental teaching demonstration center and projects with national natural science funds. It was also awarded cultural reform and talents training base in the direction of ‘animation design’ in Henan province. With the key discipline and quality construction project as a carrier, HHU has made remarkable achievement in the improvement of teaching staff, promoting teaching reform and the whole quality of this university.
HHU graduates have been popular among employers and society because of their solid foundation of professional, comprehensive, high quality, strong adaptability and development potential. Five teams, such as ‘Students practical exercise group for grassroots’ were named ‘national outstanding service teams’; the school, for 13 consecutive years was named ‘university students in the advanced unit of social practice’. With wide-ranging cooperation with some medium and large enterprise groups such as Suzhou International Science Park, HHU has established paid internships, training and employment docking training mode, and expanded the talents output channels to build a platform of facilitating the graduates. HHU takes international cooperation as a breakthrough, hand in hand with world-renowned universities, through the introduction of high-quality educational resources, to elevate the overall educational level of students. This program with University of Wales, University of Coventry, University of Derby, UK, and University of Mysore, India introduces advanced and mature well-known university training programs.
